Signal Hill City Council Remembers Late Commissioner

LOS ANGELES, California — On Tuesday, June 27th, 2023 the Signal Hill City Council held an person meeting. 

The meeting adjourned in honor and memory of Julian Denis Kitchens former Civil Services Commissioner and husband to Mayor Tina L. Hanson.

The City Council presented a proclamation to the Community Services Department in recognition of July As Parks Make Life Better! month. In addition, a cooperation agreement with Los Angeles County as to resolution approving three year participation in the Los Angeles Urban County Permanent Local Housing Allocation Grant Program. 

(MBI) Micheal  Baker International, Inc. contract was amended and extended for one year thru June 30, 2024. Project Partners, Inc.’s contract was extended 180 days thru December, 27, 2023. Authorization of agreement with JJP JJ Proepety Maintenance Network Inc. for $152,527.00.

Finance Director Sharon Del Rosario introduced Accounting Manager Fran Speer at the meeting.

City Council Members are compensated at a rate of $722.18 per month.
