Jason R. AulaLOS ANGELES, California — On Tuesday, June 13th, 2023 the Signal Hill City Council held an person meeting.
Public Works Director Thomas Bekele provided a project update for the Reservoir Park storm water capture project and the City Council approved 10% levy increase for the Landscape and Lighting Maintenance District per Proposition 218. City Manager Carl Tomiano authorized three year $314,847.20 deal with Cleanstreet, LLC for street-sweeping services. The package includes an optional 180 day extension for $18,344.80. Transportation: The City authorized Proposition A funds for a one year $10,150.00 deal with Long Beach Transit and Dial-A-Lift Service. In addition, the City authorized another Proposition A transportation one year deal with Global Paratransit, Inc. and Long Beach Transit for $76,162. Telecommunications: The City authorized a 42 month agreement for $94,128.45 with Go To Technologies USA, Inc. for Voice Over Internet Protocol (VOIP) phone system with an additional 10 percent contingency if necessary. The old system is outdated and no longer function due to the manufacturer no longer functioning in a mode to allow devices to operate. City Council Members are compensated at a rate of $722.18 per month.
