Jason R. AulaLOS ANGELES, California — On Tuesday, December 12, 2023, the Signal Hill City Council held an in-person meeting.
The City Council sought to artistically enhance the Signal Hill Public Library Zinnia Courtyard by way of the Arts Sub-Committee with outdoor public art. The city had 21 proposals submitted with one withdrawn and the council narrowed possible selections down to five before awarding the contract not to exceed $80,000.00. Signal Hill awarded a Contract Services Agreement to Andrew Davis of Project Street Gold with an estimated completion time of April 2024. The City Manager authorized Signal Hill to enter into agreement with Dudeck per approval by the City Attorney for up to $336,423 for Professional Consulting Services. The nine-month agreement includes up to a three-month contingency period totaling $33,642.30. The duties of Dudek include updating the 2018 Water Master Plan (WMP) and 2019 Water System Rate Study. City Council Members are compensated at a rate of $722.18 per month.
