Mayor Hanson honors exiting City Clerk Brooks

LOS ANGELES, California — On Tuesday, February 28th, 2023, pursuant to AB 361, the Signal Hill City Council continued to hold virtual meetings.

Outgoing City Clerk Carmen Brooks was offered a proclamation by Mayor Hanson before the exit date of March 1, 2023. Carmen Brooks is moving to Atlanta, Georgia to live with family upon exit of elected official duties. The City Council will appoint a new City Clerk on April 11th. 

The Community Services Department Womens announced March Library events and programs for Women's History Month. Women's History Month began with a proclamation by President Jimmy Carter and completed with Congressional passage of Public Law 100-9.

General Manager of the Long Beach Utilities Department, Chris Garner discussed statewide natural gas commodity prices and customer options as to gas bills. Customers have the option to choose payment plans or bill assistance as options to pay gas bills.
