City Council permits contract amendments

LOS ANGELES, California — On Tuesday, August 8th, 2023 the Signal Hill City Council held an in-person meeting. 

Public Works Director, Thomas Bekele introduced Public Works Administrative Assistant, Malinda Mitchell and Fleet Services Supervisor, Ryan Heighes.

The Temple Reservoir water engineering services agreement fourth contract amendment with AKM Consulting Engineers term was extended for one year through July 11, 2024. The second contract amendment with Project Partners, Inc. includes additional compensation of $101,600 for professional water utility consulting support services for Water Superintendent. The third contract amendment includes additional compensation of $16,000 and a five-month term extension with MCM Managment Co. for the Well 10 Construction project.  

The City Council authorized the City Manager to enter into a three-year agreement with Studio Spectrum, Inc. for $198,088.79. The agreement includes purchase and installation of new video hardware and broadcast systems, which also includes the City Council Chamber, and control room equipment as well as providing streaming video services with closed caption included.

City Council Members are compensated at a rate of $722.18 per month.
