Jason R. AulaLOS ANGELES, California — On Tuesday, January 10th & 24th, 2023, pursuant to AB 361, the Signal Hill City Council continued to hold virtual meetings.
The City of Signal Hill agreed to enter into agreement for professional consulting services for an Interim Water Superintendent up to six months not exceeding $100,000.00 in cost. Also, the City of Signal Hill opted into contracts for design services agreements with Architerra Design Group and S.W.A. Group, Inc. not to exceed $320,406.00 over six months. Closed session business occurred at the January 10th session as to labor negotiations with the interim city manager, city attorney, and Signal Hill Police Officers Association. In addition, the Signal Hill City Council held a closed session in regard to considerable pending civil litigation with one case. At the January 24th session the City of Signal Hill was honored with the Gateway Cities 2022 gold level Energy Actions Award by Nancy Pfeffer, executive director of the Gateway Cities Council of Governments. The next regularly scheduled Signal Hill City Council Meeting will be held Tuesday, February 14, 2023, at 7:00 P.M. City Council Members are compensated at a rate of $722.18 per month.
