Jason R. AulaLOS ANGELES, California — On Tuesday, July 11th, 2023 the Signal Hill City Council held a in person meeting. Signal Hill Police Chief Wayne Byerley was introduced by City Manager Carlo Tomaino. “I like the way this city does business,” Byerley said. Chief Byerley introduced and swore in new City of Signal Hill Police Department Officer Heber Mendoza. 'It’s been a great journey to be the chief of police here,” Byerley said. “I’m just honored.” Mayor Hanson and the Sustainable City Committee honored EDCO it’s municipal increases of capacity and efficiency as to the cardboard bailing system. The City Council authorized the City Manager to contract with Hardy & Harper, Incorporated (H&H) for construction of the Palm Drive Pavement Rehabilitation Project from Obispo Avenue to East Willow Street for $851,400. In addition, the City Council also authorized the City Manager to amend the contract between the Shuster Advisory Group, LLC and City of Signal Hill for a 3% cost of living adjustment if necessary. The amendment was the third one for the contract in particular. Finally, there were two additional contract amendments that were streamlined and approved. For the 33rd Street Water Main Replacement Project compensation increases by $9592 for Micheal Baker International, Inc which, provides on call water engineering consulting services. In addition, compensation increases by $36,000 and extends the term until June 30, 2024 for DISC Solutions Inc., which provides professional consulting services to Diversity Coalition Committee. City Council Members are compensated at a rate of $722.18 per month.
